Your Accounting system
What do you agents use for your Accounting system?

How does an agent account for commission income? Just a simple Sales? How about states like Texas that charge sales tax on business services (yes, really!) that aren't MD or legal related? How does the commission get taxed?

Thanks

Hil

RE: Your Accounting system
I never used an accounting system, but that's just me. In all likelihood your office manager will keep track of your commissions and you'll get a 1099 in January.

Don't know anything about how it works in Texas, but I'm sure your broker will :-)

RE: Your Accounting system
Just wondering since we're supposed to run ourselves as a business, keep up with expenses, etc...I kinda like Wave Accounting so far. Been using it with my teeny weeny business...just wondered if there was one RE agents preferred.
